Boxing Day!!!

And finally boxing day has passed by. First test match has started and is full of surprises. Great batting partnerships and great collapses all in one match and perfectly eligible to be called as a thriller. But the climax is almost revealed albeit a bit early.

The tag line for this could be "Perfectionists Vs Legends". We have many legends but legends have their own weaknesses and our Indian team is no exception.

I thought this year after being the best in my life would end on a dull note. But the last few days of 2007 would be more exciting if only my efforts pay-off.

Next year is a leap year. So i am planning to do something special on February 29th and that obviously becomes something "Very Special".

More importantly the college convocation which should be finished by now is postponed to april (most probably!). So had to wait a little longer to meet old buddies.

Also, one batch of my juniors have left Pune after successful completion of course.

My Learnings...

Its 6 months into my new job responsibility and the going was good till now. I should say this..."I am one lucky guy" (Oops!!!Touch-Wood). I am Projects Controller (APM) in my department and I was responsible for initiating and steering PM concepts such as EVM, tracking and monitoring etc. In this period i was very successful in adding value to my CV (anybody listening???).

My career path for the next 6 months (after that???) looks promising. My next big assignment here would be to implement Project Server 2003 from scratch and this i think would move me into big league ( The Leauge of Special Men!!!). In this period, i will be leading a six-sigma project and this tops my wish-list.

"Hope for the best, Plan for the worst"!!!!

This is how my life is at the moment.

Busy week...

I was nominated for a corporate award for the first project i worked on.Big day is on 27Dec'07(so busy for the first half of the week).I along with my boss will be competing for this and this would be a big career achievement for me. I am hoping for a repeat of history.

I developed Balanced Score card-Dashboard which was a very big hit in my BU. Enjoying every moment of the fame.
